John & Angela’s Runcorn Town Hall Wedding | Family, Laughter & Love

There’s something truly special about a wedding that is centred around family, and John & Angela’s beautiful day at Runcorn Town Hall was exactly that — a celebration filled with love, laughter, joy and togetherness from beginning to end.

I had the pleasure of photographing their wedding ceremony and the post-ceremony portraits before the celebrations continued into the evening at the War Memorial Club in Runcorn.

A Stylish Arrival at Runcorn Town Hall

The day began with excitement building outside the stunning Runcorn Town Hall, one of my favourite local wedding venues. Guests gathered in anticipation as Angela arrived in style in a beautiful white Rolls Royce, creating a truly elegant entrance.

She looked absolutely radiant in her wedding dress, and the smiles on the faces of her family and friends said everything about how much this moment meant to everyone there.

A Warm & Intimate Ceremony in the Leira Room

John & Angela chose the Leira Room for their ceremony, and it provided the perfect setting for an intimate and emotional exchange of vows.

The atmosphere in the room was wonderful — full of happy tears, laughter and genuine emotion. It was clear throughout the ceremony that these two are surrounded by a close and supportive family, and that warmth carried through every part of the day.

As a documentary-style wedding photographer, these are the moments I love to capture most — the natural reactions, the proud looks from family members, and the spontaneous laughter that makes every wedding unique.

Classic Runcorn Town Hall Wedding Photographs

After the ceremony, we made the most of the incredible locations that Runcorn Town Hall has to offer for wedding photography.

The Grand Staircase

The iconic staircase is always a favourite for newlywed portraits, and it provided a timeless backdrop for some beautiful photographs of John & Angela together as husband and wife.

The Elegant Drawing Room

We also spent some time in the drawing room, which offers a lovely combination of natural light and classic décor. This allowed us to create a mixture of relaxed portraits and more traditional family photographs.

The Gardens & Grounds

The weather was kind to us, so we headed outside to the gardens and grounds of Runcorn Town Hall. These landscaped areas are perfect for relaxed, natural wedding photography, and they gave John & Angela the chance to enjoy a few quiet moments together away from the excitement of the day.

One of the things I always encourage couples to do is simply walk, talk and enjoy being together, and that approach resulted in some wonderfully natural photographs full of genuine smiles and affection.

A Wedding Focused on Family

What stood out most about John & Angela’s wedding was how family-orientated the entire day was.

From the moment guests arrived, there was a real sense of togetherness. Children, parents, grandparents and friends were all part of the celebration, and the joy shared between everyone was obvious in every photograph.

These are the weddings that remind me why I love what I do — capturing not just how a wedding looked, but how it felt.

Celebrations at the War Memorial Club, Runcorn

Following the photographs at the town hall, everyone moved on to the War Memorial Club in Runcorn for the evening reception and party.

The atmosphere quickly shifted from emotional ceremony to full-on celebration, with plenty of laughter, conversation and dancing as family and friends came together to celebrate John & Angela’s marriage.

It was the perfect ending to a wonderful day.

A Pleasure to Capture

John & Angela, thank you for allowing me to be part of such a special occasion. Your wedding was a perfect example of what matters most — family, love, laughter and creating memories together.

I wish you both a lifetime of happiness and many more joyful moments surrounded by the people who clearly mean so much to you.
