 At Photography by Michael Pardoe, I am committed to protecting the privacy of the couples and clients I work with. This policy outlines how I collect, use, and safeguard your personal information.

Information I Collect

  • Contact Details: Names, email addresses, and phone numbers provided via enquiry forms.
  • Event Details: Wedding dates, venue addresses, and guest information.
  • Visual Data: Photographs taken at your event which may contain identifiable individuals.

How I Use Your Data

  • To fulfill my contractual obligations to you (delivering your photos).
  • To communicate regarding your booking and pre-wedding planning.
  • For marketing purposes (e.g., social media or portfolio use), only if explicit consent is given in your contract.

Data Retention & Security

  • I store your contact information for as long as necessary for tax and accounting purposes.
  • Your digital images are archived for 1 year to protect against loss, though I recommend you download and backup your final gallery immediately upon delivery.
  • I will never sell your data to third parties.

Your Rights You have the right to request access to the personal data I hold about you, to request corrections, or to ask for your data to be deleted (where legal obligations allow).

Terms & Conditions


1. Booking & Retainer

A non-refundable booking fee (retainer) of £150 is required to secure your wedding date. The remaining balance is due 1 month before the event.

2. Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • If the Client cancels, the booking fee is retained to cover loss of earnings.
  • If the Client requests a date change, I will do my best to accommodate, but a new booking fee may be required if I cannot fill the original date.

3. Artistic Style & Delivery

  • The Client acknowledges they have reviewed my portfolio and are booking me based on my specific photographic style.
  • Final galleries are typically delivered within 6 to 8 weeks of the wedding date.

4. Copyright & Usage

  • Copyright: As the creator, Michael Pardoe retains the copyright to all images.
  • Usage License: The Client is granted a "Personal Use License," meaning you can print, share, and display the photos for non-commercial purposes.
  • Prohibition: You may not sell the images or enter them into competitions without my written permission.
  • RAW Files: To maintain the highest professional standards, unedited RAW files are not available for release. Clients will receive their final, curated collection as high-resolution JPEG files, fully processed and ready for printing and digital sharing.

5. Liability

  • In the highly unlikely event of total photographic failure or if I am unable to attend due to injury or illness, my liability is limited to a full refund of all monies paid. I will make every effort to find a replacement photographer of similar standing.
  • I am not responsible for compromised coverage due to venue restrictions, poor weather, or uncooperative guests.

6. Model Release Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the Client grants permission for Michael Pardoe to use images from the event for promotional purposes (website, social media, brochures).
